Grow With Us Fall/Winter Virtual Workshop

We love growing unique and unusual kinds of cut flowers and we are excited to be able to offer them to you to grow as well! The flowers we are offering in this course are the same varieties of flowers that we grow on our farm. Once you pick up your growing kit we will help you to get started with how to plant and care for each of these flowers. Each month from November through March we will be planting a new (or several new) types of flowers. We will send you planting instructions via email but all video instructions will be done through our Instagram stories and saved to our highlights reel so that you can access them as references. This class is for locals and will be based on our experience with growing in Ohio's weather. We will be showing you how to grow in the garden and landscape so therefore a greenhouse will not be necessary. We have selected varieties that are cold hardy and will help instruct you with the correct time to plant them.  Each of these flower types vary from easy to more difficult to grow.  Some gardening experience is helpful but we will do our best to help you along throughout the months.

Our fall growing kit will include a variety of bulbs and flower seeds that you can plant this fall, winter, and early spring.  This may sound like alot of bulbs/seeds but they will only require about a 60 sq. ft area. (6x10 or equivalent).

In the kit you can expect to find  -

    15 Ranunculus corms + perlite for pre-sprouting

    15 Anemone corms + vermiculite for pre-spouting

    25 Tulip Bulbs

    25 Specialty Daffodil Bulbs

    10 Drumstick Allium Bulbs

5 Paperwhite Narcissus Bulbs + bag of river rocks for forcing

    1 Pack Sweet Pea Seeds

    1 Pack Bachelor Button Seeds

    1 Pack Larkspur Seeds

Additional supplies you will need to purchase includes - germination mix/potting soil for seed starting, little pots or seed trays. We will send more instruction on this after the course begins.  Many items will be planted directly into the garden!

We are still waiting for some of our fall bulbs to arrive and expect them to come in by the end of October.  Once we have all of our bulbs, corms, and  seeds we will begin to put your kits together and we will contact you with pickup information and send our our first notification on planting instructions.  Anticipated pickup will be begining of November and pickup will be held in Milford at Hill's Compounding Pharmacy.
